I made this pattern with my students in mind as a "next" step for class and as an example of how stitches can be combined to make patterns

Otherwise known as X's & O's that is sometimes used in letters and notes to denote a Hug (O) and a Kiss (X). This pattern is made up of alternating rows of Double Crochet Cross Stitches (X's), and Double Crochet with Ch1 spaces (O's).

Rating: Easy

31st-Jan-2008 04:34 am (UTC) - Hugs n Kisses Dishcloth
I found your link posted today on a craft group I'm on. As I had done a square about 2 years ago called Hugs & Kisses I had to check it out. I immediately pulled out yarn and started the dishcloth. I have to say I love it. I'm just finished up the last round (picot eyelet round) of trim. I really loved the way it came out.

I do a stitch a week thing on one of my crochet groups and this week it just so happened to be the cross stitch. I explain the stitch, give sites where they can go to for pictorial or video help with the stitch and then list some internet pattern links for them to practice the stitch with. I just had to go and tell them to try this dishcloth!

Anyway I had to share with you how much I enjoyed your design. Have to go now but will be back! : )
